Off The Cuff Bespoke Tailored Collars

Well folks, the day has finally arrived. If you’re reading this post, then you’re actually reading my very post for some time. And I wholeheartedly welcome you to my brand new revamped website.

Down to business, Bespoke tailored collars. The picture below shows a clients coat that I’ve partially made to the forward fitting stage. The collar and lapel section are clear to see.

On bespoke collars all the seams will be very carefully sewn by hand, they’re not sewn with a sewing machine. Even the main collar to lapel seam that’s visible will be carefully sewn by hand with silk thread.

What’s the difference between the collar of a factory made suit ? The factory made collar is completely sewn using a sewing machine. But, If you’ve ordered a bespoke suit, it should be completely made by hand. Grab your coat and turn the collar up, can you see a zig zag stitch running around any of the collar ? If so, your suit was factory made, and not bespoke made. Were you sold a factory made suit as bespoke ?
